Celebration
People celebrate Spring Festival in several ways. They join with their family members, visit their friends and relatives, go to temple fairs and play firecrackers. For kids like us, we often eat the yummy snacks, play games and do many things for fun.
On Lantern Festival, we eat sweet dumplings and see the lantern shows in the neighborhood.
China's National Day is celebrated every year on October 1. There used to be grand parades squares of major cities of the country. Now celebrations usually take the form of parties in amusement parks by day and fire-works and grand TV ensembles during the evening.
I celebrate my birthday on March 4th every year with my family members. We have dinner together. After eating the birthday cake, they give me birthday presents.
I held a party at home for my last birthday. I invited my friends to participate in my birthday party. When they arrived, I smiled and welcomed them. I said “thank you” to them when they gave me the presents. Then, we sang and danced. After that, we ate a big birthday cake. We watched TV and played computer games after eating the cake. Finally, when the party was over, I said goodbye and thanks to them.
I prefer to celebrate my birthday at home. Because if I celebrate my birthday in a restaurant, it will cost me too much; and if I invite a lot of friends, I don’t have enough pocket money.
I’ve never been to a wedding (a birthday party of others), because by far there’s no one invited me.
